Visit Us

The MU Black Studies Program is located on the third floor of Gentry Hall, in room 313, on the campus of the University of Missouri.

Parking

Metered Parking is available at Hitt Street Garage Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking is available after 5 p.m. and on weekends.

Locating Gentry Hall

From the Hitt Street Garage

  1. Exit the garage through the east side;
  2. Turn right or south onto Hitt Street from the garage;
  3. Continue walking south, crossing University Avenue;
  4. Proceed past the Fine Arts building; and
  5. At the entrance to the outdoor walkway called Lowry Mall, turn left or east crossing Hitt Street toward Memorial Union;
  6. On the east side of Hitt Street at Memorial Union turn right;
  7. Gentry Hall is located south of Memorial Union on Hitt Street

From Jesse Hall

  1. Exit Jesse Hall through the south side doors facing Carnahan Quad accross from Conley Avenue;
  2. At the base of the Jesse Hall stairs turn immediately left or east onto the walkway;
  3. Continue walking east, up the flight of stairs onto Ninth Street;
  4. Cross Ninth Street onto the outdoor Lowry Mall walkway;
  5. Proceed east past Lowry Hall, McDonalds, Student Success Center and Fine Art Building to Hitt Street;
  6. Continue east crossing Hitt Street toward Memorial Union;
  7. On the east side of Hitt Street at Memorial Union turn right;
  8. Gentry Hall is located south of Memorial Union on Hitt Street
