Minor in Black Studies
Requirements
A student must complete a minimum of fifteen (15) hours of approved coursework.
Students must take three (3) hours in each of the three content areas of the Black Studies minor - Black History, Black Society, Black Culture – for a total of nine (9) hours.
Three (3) of the fifteen (15) hours can be taken in Black Studies courses outside of the College of Arts and Sciences. At least six (6) of the fifteen (15) hours must be in courses numbered 2000 or above. At least three (3) of the fifteen (15) hours must be in a 3000-level course.
Minor courses at MU can count toward General Education Requirements.
