In her talk, called "Packages From the Homeland," Jamaican food blogger Lisa Harrison will share how traditional Caribbean food brought or sent from the islands continues to serve as an expression of familial love, a way of making a new home, and a testament to the resilience and continuity of the Black family beyond the shores of the homeland.

The presentation will be followed by a 20-minute kitchen demonstration and Q/A (total time: 1 hour)
